E-Twinning

Since July, I have been busy putting in place our E-twinning project with a French School, College Rosa Parks.
We now have a blog which you can access by clicking on the E-twinning logo.We will be working with year 7 and year 8 pupils in class on Podcasting, Animation and Videos and we will be uploading them on the blog to share with the French school.
This will give you an opportunity to discover another school culture and compare your language skills!

Paris 2009

We have made a booking to take pupils from years 7 to 11 to Paris for 5 days at the end of March 2009.
the total price is £285 and this includes transport, accomodation, visit of the Eiffel tower, a cruise on the river, a day at Disney Land and many other exciting things.
If you are interested, get a letter from Miss Charles in room 17. You need to pay the deposit (£35) before the end of September to be sure to go. Numbers are limited so Hurry!

BASTILLE DAY

Yesterday, it was Bastille Day in France which celebrates the beginning of the French Revolution (1789).
Pupils had a chance in the last few days to watch videos about this event in their French lessons.
We also had flags put up along the MFL corridor. Thanks to 8ANI/fr3 for helping Mrs Lundie.
Teachers and support staff also enjoyed warm croissants at break time, provided by the MFL department.

BOULES CLUB

Every Wednesday we are meeting in the MFL garden to play French Boules (weather permitting). This is open to Year 7 pupils only.

SPAIN 2008

There are a few more places left on the Spain Trip 2008. Please ask for a letter from Miss Charles (rm 17).
We are going for 5 days and will be staying near Barcelona.
